Upcoming Events
Keeping Holy Trinity Church in the community.
7.30 pm Wednesday 12 November, Candelo Town Hall
The Anglican Diocese was so pleased to receive so many community objections to their proposed sale of Holy Trinity Church at Kameruka that they have paused the sale.
They have asked the community to propose and facilitate ways to use the church as a ‘community and family venue’.
The Diocese genuinely wish to support community use of the church and grounds.
So, a few of us who had lodged objections and spoken with the Diocese have booked the hall and invite all who are passionate about the importance of this, and who have ideas and a will to contribute, to get together and make it happen.
It will need to generate some revenue and will need volunteers.
What ideas do you have? How can you get involved?
Holy Trinity was built on Kameruka Estate in 1869 by the community for the community.
(Kameruka is older than Candelo).
The attached video on Holy Trinity is presented by Frank Foster, who passed away in 2021, and was last of five generations of the Tooth family which built and operated Kameruka Estate over 150 years.
Holy Trinity was commissioned by Frank’s great-grandfather.
